Introduction to Islam
Hosted by the Middle East Institute, this web site is the electronic version of author M. Cherif Bassiouni's 1985 book of the same title. Bassiouni is an expert on Islamic and criminal law and is affiliated with the DePaul University College of Law. Topics covered include the rise and spread of Islam, basic tenets and teachings, social and legal systems, and arts and culture.
