The majority of our online indexes are part of the
NCLIVE program. NCLIVE databases are freely accessible on campus, but for off-campus access, users are required to log in with their Barton username and password. (
Note: Non-Barton College patrons may access from off campus these NCLIVE resources on our pages by using a special NCLIVE password obtainable from any North Carolina public or academic library for which they have borrowing privileges.)
The library subscribes to some additional indexes from the OCLC FirstSearch company, and other companies, that are not part of the NCLIVE project. They require a password for
both on-campus and
off-campus use.
Indexes on CDROM are only available in the library. Please see the reference librarian.
Indexes in Paper format are only available in the library. Please see the reference librarian.
These indexes are freely available to anyone using the Internet.
